I am so blessed by each of you who have joined this year’s challenge. Once again(praise the Lord), we surpassed last year’s sign-up numbers and have the largest Spring100 group to date! It’s my sincere hope and prayer that this Spring100 will not just be a fun physical activity but also a spiritual encouragement for all of us as we set our eyes on Jesus Christ[Heb 12:1-3] and set out to reach our 100-mile goal. NOW IS THE TIME TO LOG YOUR MILES!! Since the first day of Spring was yesterday(Sunday) this mile log will be for any miles walked Sunday, March 20th ONLY. If did not walk any miles on Sunday, March 20th, fill in the form with “0” and submit! To ensure your miles have been received, you will be redirected to a confirmation page that says “Thank you. your weekly miles have been received!”. Feel free to send an EMAIL ME if you have any questions! I will be quick to reply. 🙌🏻

For the new Spring100ers out there, each Monday you will be entering the miles walked for that week in the weekly mile-log provided on the “100MileMonday” posts. Our 1st 100MileMonday post happens tomorrow. Psst… we are kicking off the 100MileMonday posts with a fun GiveAway you won’t want to miss! The wonderful news?! This is a race in which we are never forsaken and we do not run in our own strength. As believers, born-again Christians, we run the ultimate race with a triumphant forerunner, Jesus Christ our Lord, and we run it by His grace and in His strength! This life is a race to be run with endurance and can be as we set our eyes on HIM! Hebrews 12:1-3

You read that right, by the grace of God, all 2021 Spring100 shirts are on their way!!🙌🏻🎉 This has been an incredible 3 weeks with so many details leading up to the shipment. Hundreds of Spring100 shirts are making their way across the world and landing in qualifying Spring100ers’ mailboxes!! I AM SO EXCITED and so humbled by God’s goodness, faithfulness, and grace throughout this entire event!! This has been THE BIGGEST Spring100 ship-off to date, nearly double last year🙊. A HUGE thank you to my family who has diligently help fold, package, and drop off these fabulous Charcoal, Pink, and Green T-shirts at the Post office!! 💛📬 I am so thrilled to think all those shirts will soon be worn by Spring100 finishers😍. Today is the final 2021 Spring100 post! 💯🏃🏼🏃🏻♀️ Thank the Lord, here we are all “meeting” at the finish line after a fabulous 100-mile walking challenge!! There are so many of you here and I am amazed at what the Lord has done this Spring100 season. 92 days, HUNDREDS of fellow walkers participating in 7+ different countries, and thousands of miles walked… Well done everyone!!🙌🏻 To God alone be all glory! For those who faithfully participated but were not able to meet the 100-mile goal, we are giving YOU a huge round of applause for your dedication and perseverance.👏🏼 👏🏼 REMEMBER, “bodily 👏🏼exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” This is just a physical challenge that is intended to encourage you in the spiritual race you are daily participating in. Set your eyes on the prize and RUN!!!!! We are cheering you on. Find your strength in the Lord…. YOU CAN DO THIS! 🙋🏼♀️ I don’t know how we’ve even gotten here but I am amazed! Amazed by the Lord’s goodness, strength, and grace which has been so evident in each Spring100er as I watch you all nearing and crossing the finish line! Whether you are one of our youngest walkers at age 3 or our oldest at age 100, every step walked in this Spring100 has been a gift from God. It’s True! A verse that has come to mind is Acts 17:28, “For in him we live, and move, and have our being…” So my friends, let’s finish the last 6 days strong and singing the Lord’s praise. For this 100MileMonday post, I’m doing something a little different!! ☺️Today, we are having a Spring100 birthday celebration!! Gita is our oldest Spring100 walker and celebrated her 100th birthday this past Saturday! Do you want to hear something amazing? Gita has already finished her 100 miles for Spring100!! I am so blessed to have Gita a part of this challenge.💕 Her testimony of God’s faithfulness throughout her entire life is such a blessing! Today’s post is dedicated to Gita, a fellow Spring100 walker, encourager, inspiration, and sister in Christ! Happy Birthday, Gita!! 🙋🏼♀️🎉 I am excited to share her amazing story shared with me by her dear friend Sheri:
When Gita was a young woman, Russian soldiers invaded her country of Estonia. After she endured and survived many weeks of constant bombing of Tallinn, Estonia’s capital where she lived, Gita and what was left of her family fled the country the evening before Russia invaded. They sailed away on a hospital ship called the Moero. But the next morning, out in the Baltic Sea, the Moero was torpedoed by Russian planes, and sank in about 6 minutes, taking nearly 4,000 people onboard down with it, including her first husband. They had been married only one year. Gita and her younger brother, Erich, managed to jump from the sinking ship into separate large life preservers. Gita’s was filled with other people, but her brother’s had only one other man in it. Erich had dreamed the night before that the ship would be sunk and he would die! Gita life preserver floated away from the 3 boats that came to rescue survivors. After floating in the freezing water for 4 hours, they were picked up by a German U-boat (submarine) and taken to what was then called Gdansk, Poland. Her brother never showed up at the displaced person’s camp, and she learned from witnesses on another rescue ship that the “young man in a life ring with only two men” had fallen from the knotted rescue line they threw to him, and he had been sucked into the ship’s propeller. Gita was devastated. He was her final family member, except for her grandmother who was still in Estonia. She never saw her grandmother again, either. Gita wandered from one country to the next with no home, no family, no nation; but God always sustained her with several miracles, pulling her from certain death time after time. Finally, she ended up behind the American lines and when WW2 ended, she met an officer that would become her husband and bring her to America! She had 6 children, got saved, and was part of a group of 5 people that started my church back in 1970. She loves the Lord with all her heart, and still serves Him, baking cookies and cakes as gifts for many people, old and young alike. AND she gardens with the flowers she loves!
