Here we are, ending the month of May and entering the month of June! We are on the “home stretch” for the 2022 Spring100 and I am so excited to see each and every one of you persevering and pressing forward to the finish line. I was reminded of the above verses from Isaiah 40 this week! I know there are Spring100 participants out there that are feeling like they can’t make it to the finish line. You are ready to call it quits and “throw in the towel”! BUT DON’T QUIT. The Lord God can and will renew your strength! Push it out and see how far you can get in His strength. As we find ourselves running the spiritual race of life we will also find ourselves seasons of spiritual “burn out”. Times we are ready to give up! It is in the times of our feeling our utter weakness that we see His strength is perfected in us. I love the promise found in Psalm 73:24, “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.” He renews us, strengthens us, and will bring us to our spiritual “Finish Line” in His strength by His grace! “I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14! Alright, y’all ready to conquer another week of Spring100 walking?? The finish line is just around the corner… let’s get there together in The Lord’s strength!👏🏼💯

Ladies and Gentlemen…. we are officially just 30 days from the end of the Spring100 Challenge! Over 2/3rds of the way!! The Finish Line is in sight and I am so excited to already see so many finished and waiting for us to join them there. 🏅🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ Now is the time to NOT GIVE UP! Don’t grow weary and keep on pressing forward. The great news is if you are REALLY BEHIND, you still have time to catch up!! If you haven’t even walked a single mile yet, you can still easily get to the 100-mile mark.💯 According to google, the average walking pace is 3-4 miles per hour. If you still have all 100 miles to accomplish for this challenge, you can easily reach that 100-mile goal by dedicating 1 hour and walking 3.5 miles a day! If you don’t have a solid hour to dedicate to walking, split up the walks into 2 30-minute segments or even 4 15-minute quick walking breaks. I am so excited to see each and every one of you at the 2022 Spring100 Finish Line! As we set our eyes on the Spring100 Prize(spiffy custom printed Spring100 T-shirt) I am reminded of our spiritual reward as we run the race of life. Genesis 15:1 tells us “After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Set your eyes on the Prize, Jesus Christ… the Author and Finisher of our faith and RUN! I am praying The Lord God strengthens, equips, and encourages you to finish strong in HIM… Let’s do this! 🙌🏻🎉

Last week I challenged you all to do the “wieghted Walk Challenge”! The Farrell family took me up on that challenge walking 1 mile with a total weight of 217.5 lbs being carried between them. WOWza! Great job!!💪🏼💯🙌🏻

I love meditating on the above verse from 2 Timothy 2 whenever I decide to go out for a run! I often think about this verse right alongside our Spring100 Theme verse where we are told to “lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily ensnares us”! To be entangled or ensnared means to be trapped or caught up in something that will hinder movement. The word WEIGHT mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 means “a burden or something so heavy and cumbersome that it impedes a runner from running his race as he should.” So just like you wouldn’t run a marathon with a backpack full of cumbersome bricks or ropes tied around your legs that will trip you up, you don’t want run the spiritual race with spiritual bricks that will weigh you down and keep you from running to your fullest. We are commanded to lay aside or THROW OFF these weights and sin and in God’s strenth +by His grace, we can do just that. 🙌🏻 “ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13. With these verses on my mind this week, how about a fun CHALLANGE? 😃 Here is the challenge for week 10 of Spring100:

CHALLENGE- This week make it your goal to walk a mile with a little extra weight just to get the feel of what that extra spiritual weight feels like and what a relief it is to finally take it off and walk unencumbered. 💁🏼‍♀️Whether it be hand weights, extra-large canned veggies, a weighted back-pack, sibling riding piggyback, or maybe just your baby on your front-pack! Get creative and snap a picture of how you did the weight challenge and send it in for next week’s post letting us know how it went for you!

I am looking forward to seeing how creative you all get. Soooooo, are you ready to tackle week 10 of the Spring100? LET’S DO IT!!!!! 🙌🏻💯

Well, congratulations to each one of you! 🙌🏻 We have officially made it past the halfway mark for this Spring100 and I’m beginning to see that finish line ahead!! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️ How was has the past week of walking/running gone for you?? Keep your eyes set on the prize. 🥇 We are so very close! This week, as we set out to grab our week 9 Spring100 miles and serve the Lord in every area of life, let’s take Micah 6:8 with us! If you haven’t memorized this verse from God’s Word, I urge you to do so. Do justly, love mercy, walk humbly… WALK HUMBLY with thy God! The command to walk humbly always takes my mind to James 4:6 where we are told “But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” and then a few verses later James says, “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.” I don’t know about you, but I desire that “more grace” that the Lord God gives to the humble. As I walk my miles this week, I am praying that I would be “clothed in humility” and that I would walk humbly with the Lord my God. “Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.” 1 Peter 5:5. May we seek to Do Justly, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly for week 9 of the 2022 Spring100… HAPPY WALKING Y’ALL! 🙋🏼‍♀️💯

Here we are just a few days away from the Half-Way mark for the 2022 Spring100!🙌🏻💯 I was thinking of all those in this challenge that have faced diverse trials which have slowed them down and threatened to keep them from the 100-mile goal! Torn tendons, broken legs, unexpected changes in work and school schedules, bad weather, and the list goes on. As I think of these trials faced in the walking challenge, I am reminded of the trials we face in the race of life! They can threaten to derail us BUT how thankful I am that we are promised patience will be worked in us through the trials we face that we “may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing”. We are told to “count it all joy”(James 1) and GLORY in these trials “knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed…” (Romans 5:3-5).As we pass the Half-way mark of this 93 day challenge, each of us already has or will be faced with Spring100 setbacks. When these setbacks come your way, DON’T GIVE UP and don’t get discouraged. Keep on persevering and pressing forward, finding your strength in the Lord! So, who is ready to finish Spring100 strong? LET’S GO!!!!

As I enjoyed my Spring100 walks this week, I was thinking about our Spring100 Theme verse and the “great a cloud of witnesses” that have gone before us. Men and women “who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.” Hebrews 11:33-34. I don’t know about you but the testimonies of our brothers and sisters in Christ who have finished the race set before them always encourage me onward and upward! They did not run well and finish in their own strength but were made strong in weakness as they depended on the Lord’s grace every step of the way. If you are ready to give up on the Spring100 or finding you are weary in this race of life, don’t quit!! Remember 2 Corinthians 12:9 and the promise of grace sufficient for every single day as it says “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” As we enter this new week of walking and spiritually running with endurance, let’s recall the great cloud of witness and the grace of God which enabled each one of them to finish the race well! Ready to conquer week 7… LET’S GO!!!!! 🙌🏻💯🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️

As mentioned above, we are nearing 1 full month of this walking challenge!! That is 30 days of the 94-day challenge. PRAISE THE LORD, what a great achievement! How was this past week for you all?? We’ve had some crazy weather here in North East Texas for week 4. From Sunny and hot to super chilly, extreme wind storms, and then very very wet all in the past 7 days😅💨⛈☀️. Brrr… I had to pull out my winter jacket for a few days then quickly find a short sleeve shirt and sunglasses for others!😅 As I have been walking this week, I have been meditating on the beautiful truth that The Lord God directs our steps. We are told in Proverbs 16:9 that “A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” Jeremiah 10:23 says, “O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps.” and in Psalm 32:8 The Lord God promises “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” I don’t know about you but this truth that He directs us in the way we should go gives me the boldness to take the next step in faith. 🙌🏻💯 With that blessed truth, let’s conquer this new week of Sp100 walking/running!! 🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏼‍♀️

I am so excited to see everyone entering week 4 of the Spring100 challenge with so much energy and enthusiasm!! 🙌🏻 WAY TO GO!!! How was week 3 for you?? This past week I was reminded how important it is to redeem the time. We are told in Ephesians 5 to walk circumspectly(with watchfulness every way), redeeming the time for the days are evil! Did you know that every mile you walk for Spring100 can be more than just a time to walk and keep physically fit? It is true!! Your time spent walking the Spring100 can be a time you dedicate to praying, listening to scripture, or audio sermons. It can be a time you use to memorize and recite Scripture! Your spring100 miles can be a time to invest in relationships by walking with a family member or friend, enjoying edifying conversation, and seeking to encourage them in the Lord. I want to encourage you as we enter week 4 and you head out to grab your miles to be intentional about redeeming the time. Make your walks/runs more than just grabbing your miles… make them edifying and spiritually uplifting! Ready? Let’s do it! 🙌🏻🎉🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️

PLEASE READ: I respect your privacy! When emailing your photos, please include the name(s) you’d like us to use when posting your photo(s). You can use your full name or just first name or, if you prefer, send the photo with your initials or nickname. Feel free to include a short caption to be shared also!

Each week I choose between 70-80 photos from Spring100ers to be featured. Follow the below Spring100 photo guidelines for a better chance to be featured in the upcoming 100MileMonday posts!

Spring100 Photo TIPS!

A few helpful tips when taking and sending your Spring100 photo

1.) Send your photo in higher resolution and be sure it’s clear! Often, photos are sent too small. Photos that are too small or blurry cannot be used!
2.) Please no text overlays or picture collages! Sending the photos individually without text added will give you a better chance of being featured!
3.) Refrain from using finger symbols when posing for a Spring100 photo please! Thumbs Up 👍🏻 is fine but photos of Spring100ers using other finger symbols are rarely used.
4.) SEND IN BY THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE! The weekly Photo submission deadline is Sunday at 10am(cst).
5.) Get creative and HAVE FUN!!!!!!
