Congratulations on finishing week 3!! 🙌🏻💯 How did it go for you all??😃 I absolutely love the above portion of Romans 13 from our Weekly Spring100 Scripture Reading Plan! I was both encouraged and convicted when I noticed Strife and Envy were included and right up there with rioting, drunkenness, and lust. This reminder took me to James 3:16 where we are told, “For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.”. WOW! We may not be given over to drunkenness or rioting but how often do we find ourselves causing strife/arguments with siblings or perhaps even envying something someone else has/is? James 4:1 reminds us exactly where strife comes from, “From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?” These sins we hold on to, no matter how “small” or “innocent” they may seem, (whether they be envy or strife or lust or -fill in the blank-) are the weights and sins mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 that hold us back from running the race before us with endurance. So, what does God’s Word tell us to do with these sins? Romans 13 tells us to cast them off! And Hebrews 12:1 says “Lay aside” or another translation says “THROW OFF”. As we enter Week 4 of the Spring100 Challenge, I encourage you all to take time during your Spring100 walks to pray that the Lord would show you any weight and sin in your life that may be holding you back from running the spiritual race you are on with endurance! Ask Him to give you the strength to THROW OFF whatever sin and weight may be holding you back. God will give you the grace to do just that! I am praying for each of you as we enter a new week of walking.🙋🏼‍♀️💯 Let’s conquer Week 4 in the strength of the Lord!!

How did week 2 go for you all?? 😃 Registration for the 2021 Spring100 has officially closed and I am amazed at the number of participants we have this year. Love seeing all the international walkers that have joined! From the USA to South Africa to Estonia, Mexico, Switzerland, Turkey, France, Romania, and I could go on… PHEW!😍 May the Lord be glorified through this Challenge! That is my prayer. 🙏🏼 As we enter week 3, I want to take this time to remind each of you to redeem each Spring100 walk!! It is very easy to let that mile pass without much thought, isn’t it?! To get into a monotonous routine, allowing miles to go by scrolling through your phone or thinking on completely random “nothingness”. We are told in 1 Timothy 4:8, “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but GODLINESS is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” Life that is now and that which is to come…. WOW! Here at the Spring100, we believe a mile is not just a mile but it’s time that can be greatly redeemed! A Spring100 mile can be used to meditate on scripture, pray, bring family members together for a common goal, encourage others, and so on. Families have mentioned these walks are a great time for family fellowship, catching up after a busy day, or brush up on their Scripture memorization together. How wonderful is that?! And even a mile spent soaking up God’s creation and resetting our minds to mentally prepare for the tasks that lay ahead is a mile well-walked! So, a mile isn’t just a mile…. The time spent enjoying physical exercise can be so much more. Put your Smart Phone away🤳🏻, look up, redeem the time, and make each Spring100 mile count both here on earth and for all eternity… Now, go conquer week 3 in the strength of the Lord! 🙋🏼‍♀️💯

Ready, set, GO!!!!🏃🏼‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️🎉 Today is the official open of the 5th annual Spring100 and I am BEYOND excited!! 🙌🏻 You can now officially start logging those miles. 🙂 We have already doubled last year’s Spring100 sign up and that is unbelievable! I am so blessed to be a part of such an excited, encouraging, and energetic group. Y’all have done a fabulous job spreading the word!😱 For the new Spring100ers out there, each Monday you will be entering the miles walked for that week in the weekly mile-log provided on the 100MileMonday posts right here on the Spring100 blog! The Spring100 registration will officially close Saturday, March 27th at 12 am sharp(1 week from today). This gives those who have wanted to sign up but haven’t found a free moment a chance to jump into the challenge! So, if you know of someone who wants to join, warn them they are about to miss out. Sign-up can be found on the Sign Up Page or one of the previous blog posts. the previous! May the Lord encourage each one of you physically and spiritually as you set out to make the 100-mile mark. 5 Tips To Start the Spring100:

1. GO IN THE STRENGTH OF THE LORD! Remember, we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength. “I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of thy righteousness, even of thine only.” Ps 71:16
2. Incorporate Scripture in your daily walks and the entirety of Spring100! Make this challenge more than just physical exercise, make it a season of spiritual refreshment and edification. The Spring100 Reading Plan is a great way to do this! “For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.” 1 Timothy 4:8
3. Keep track of your miles!! Whether it’s a special notebook dedicated to Spring100 or in your journal or the Spring100 calendar, PLEASE keep a personal log of your miles. YES, you will be submitting your miles to me weekly but having your own copy of miles walked will be a helpful way to “compare notes” if by chance I find you’re short of the required 100-mile goal by the end of Spring100!
4. Wear good shoes when walking! 😉
5. Interact right here on the SP100 BLOG through comments + photos! This is a fun online community when we all join together, seeking to encourage each other as we move toward the 100-mile goal!

Y’all… IT’S TIME TO SIGN UP for the 5th ANNUAL Spring100!! So amazed to have made it to the 5th year of this invigorating Christ-centered challenge and excited to have you join the fun. For those who are new to the Spring 100, this Challenge made up of a big but simple goal: to walk(or run!!) 100 miles from March 20th through June 20th(SPRING!). I am extremely excited to host this challenge once again and I hope you will join those of us who have already committed to the 2021 Spring100!!! This 100-mile goal breaks down to a simple 1.1 miles a day!! Very doable, don’t you think?

The Spring100 is a challenge that I hope will remind you that we are participants in a daily spiritual race. And the wonderful news?! This is a race in which we are never forsaken and do not run alone. The ultimate race with a triumphant forerunner, Jesus Christ our Lord. This life is a race to be run with endurance and can be as we set our eyes on HIM! Hebrews 12:1-3

Many of you may be thinking, “but I already walk several miles a week?!!!” We still want you to join the fun, encourage those participating, and get a fantastic prize!
