“Teach me thy way, O Lord; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name.”
Psalm 86:11
Hello everyone!! ?? Well, it’s so nice to see you all here as we enter WEEK 3 of the Spring100! ? And it’s truly only by God’s grace this post is published. 🙂 Last week’s Spring100 post brought a rather large and fantastic group of visitors to the blog causing a little bit of a site-outage.? But, praise the Lord, the Blog is back up, running better than ever, and ready for any traffic[big or small] that may come it’s way! Would you help me out by leaving a comment below so I know you are seeing this post and everything is in working order? ☺ Alright, as usual, Spring100 formalities first before we get to the fun! NOW is the time to log your mileage for WEEK 2! Super easy form to fill out below. If you aren’t sure if your form was submitted correctly, keep an eye on your email. WEEK 2 MILEAGE FORM
…………………………
Did you get those miles logged for week 2? ? Fantastic… let’s move on!!?
1 Spring100 notice: ☞ a great question was asked by a fellow Spring100er. She said, “What if I don’t get to logging my miles on Monday? Will it still work on Tuesday?”
Answer: YES!! It definitely will work on Tuesday or even a week later. I know life can get busy so just go back to the post with the form containing the week your logging for. So let’s say you couldn’t get around to logging week 2’s miles until week 3. Just go back to the correct post containing the week 2 form to log week 2!! ☺ Feel free to send an email or leave a comment below with any questions that may come into your mind for week 3!
Phew, formalities over? Good! ☺️ Last week I received an email from H.B. who joined in the Spring100 with us and I can’t tell you how much his note blessed and encouraged me. With his permission, I want to share it with you all! I hope it encourages and reminds you to find your strength in Christ[2 Cor 12:9-10], resting in the sufficiency of His grace, and seeking to glorify Him alone[Col 3:17] in all you do as you run the race set before you[Heb 12:1-3]! And yes, it truly is possible to glorify the Lord even in something as simple as a 1 mile walk/run and that is the goal of the Spring100. 🙂 H.B. says:
“My name is H. and I signed up to your Spring 100 Challenge. It was really an answer to prayer. I had been praying for the Lord to give me grace to get back into running. I had stopped running when I became a Christian 6 years ago. I knew it was a hobby that I had that I counted as ‘dung’ as Paul puts it[Phil 3:8]. After 6 years as a Christian I believe that the Lord wanted me to run again, but this time for his glory. When I read your blog I had faith to believe that the Lord was encouraging me to start again. The Lord soon gave me grace to find a pair of shoes that fit online. The shoes got here on Friday and I had a goal of 8 miles by the end of the weekend.
When I got up this morning I still had a goal of 8 miles, of which I had 0. But by the grace of God I was able to accomplish my goal by running/jogging/walking the Azalea Trail…. It was a wonderful experience. I was able to give glory to God and bless His name as I admired his creation.
1 Corinthians 10:31“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
I checked the distance on Google and it came to 10.6 miles. Praise the Lord….”
Praise the Lord, indeed. ☺️ I’m thanking the Lord for H.B.’s testimony of God’s grace and I am so thankful he has joined us for the Spring100!! God truly does provide the grace and strength we need to do that which He has called us to, doesn’t He? His grace is sufficient!
How was week 2 for you all? I have LOVED hearing from lots of you and getting “status updates” throughout the week. Some of y’all are stuck indoors because of April showers but, with the aid of a treadmill, you’re not letting the rain stop you from meeting your goals! Others are opting out of driving to their destination and walking there. Way to go! ??This week I chose to walk most of my miles. A slightly sore ankle gave me an excuse to “slowly” walk ;). It was an extremely beautiful week of walking for me! I downloaded Psalm 147 on my phone and enjoyed listening to it while I did my daily miles. Verse 10-11 continually stuck out to me, “He delighteth not in the strength of the horse: HE taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear HIM, in those that hope in HIS mercy.” Keep up the great work everyone! Take this challenge at your own speed/pace and have fun. Looking forward to walking the rest of Spring100 with you all!
2 questions!!? 1.) How was the weather for week 2 of the Spring100? Sunny, dry, and warm? Or were rain coats, row boats, and layers necessary? ? 2.) Did you have any exciting encounters during Spring100 week 2 walks/runs? Grizzly bears, rattle snakes, etc? ? I would absolutely love to have each of you Spring100ers answer at least 1 or both questions in the comment section ↓below↓!!

I love everyone’s excitement doing this challenge! 🙂
Hey all you warm-weather-walkers — up here in Massachusetts, my Mom and I are still sporting winter jackets, hats, and gloves for our early-morning walks! 40 degrees at 6:30 AM, but still fun! Last Wednesday morning we were blessed with a GORGEOUS sunrise… would love to submit some pictures sometime, but my camera is out of order for the time being…
Keep up the good work, everyone! 🙂
Rachel
Isn’t the excitement fun?! ?
Way to go Natalie!! 🙂 That’s a chilly(and early) walk!! If your camera get back into working order, we would love to see photos from you.
Have a blessed evening and enjoy week 3 up there in MA!?
Melanie
Thanks for the update and encouragement, Rachel! My mileage this week was a bit low due to a cold (hopefully I’m getting it over with for the year), but planning to make it up. 🙂
And thanks, H.B. for your testimony. What a great example of glorifying the Lord!
1. Cold! I joined Natalie in the winter jacket camp.
2. My most ‘exciting’ encounter this past week was a generous chunk of glass on our street! It is now in ‘recycle’ to the great relief of the imperiled tires of the near vicinity. 🙂
Have a great week everyone!
Rachel
Thank you for taking time to read and encourage me with your comment, Melanie! 🙂 Continuing to pray for the complete healing of that cold. Not fun!
Way to go on the multi-tasking! ??? I am very sure the neighbors are extremely relieved to have you walking the streets. ??
Annie Ryan
Hey!!
So far my walking has been awesome! ‘Almost got rained on at least once, but other then that it’s been nice and sunny!
I’m loving being able to do this with everyone!!
Happy walking y’all!!!
Rachel
Hello Annie!! Walking in the rain can be fun but I’m glad you’ve been able to enjoy sunny days this week.
I’m so blessed and loving having you walk with us!! Keep up the great work. ☺️?
Julia Ryan
Had a good week of walking!! Looking forward to the rest of the miles with y’all!
Rachel
I’m so happy to hear it was a good week for you! ? Looking forward to walking the remainder with you too! ❤️
Leah
Another encouraging post, Rachel! Thanks for sharing how the Lord is working in your life H.B.!
Great job every one!
I “ran” twice this week and walked the rest. The weather was gorgeous!! The most eventful parts of my walks were greeting neighbors, keeping the dog from chasing geese and dodging a couple (thankfully friendly) loose dogs. 🙂
Elisha, your baby is so precious!!
Have a blessed week everyone!
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God…Walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:1-2,8
Rachel
Way to go on the running, Leah!! ? So glad your weather has been gorgeous. It’s so nice this time of year, isn’t it?! Ha, so thankful they were friendly dogs. ??
Beautiful verses. Thank you for sharing them Leah!! ❤️
travisandelisha
Thank you, Leah! I’m not biased ?? but I totally agree with you that she’s precious! ?
lydiajael
? Yay for week two!? Question 1.) It was all sunshine, except for one day, we had a big down-poor in the morning… it was pretty muddy on that walk.? Question 2.) My walking buddy Rebekah says that the most exciting thing that happened was that we encountered two wild ducks…pretty scary! ?? Thanks Rachel, I look forward to week three!??♀️
Rachel
Watch out for the ducks!!! ? They are dangerous. ??
Enjoy week 3 Lydia!!
Hannah Griggs
I didn’t see any grizzly bears or rattlesnakes, but I have seen wild hogs a couple times while out walking.? I am enjoying Spring 100 very much. Thanks, Rachel!
Rachel
Oh wow!! Wild hogs?! I think you have the most exciting Spring100 walk sighting yet. ??
Thank you so much for joining us, Hannah! Having you part of the Spring100 is a blessing!! ?
Hope
Way to go on week 2, everyone!
I think for the most part last week for my walking/jogging, I had good weather (maybe somewhat cool to warm temperatures) ; and thankfully, I didn’t have any rainy Spring 100 days. Nothing very extraordinary happened.
Proverbs 4:11-12: “I instruct you in the way of wisdom and lead you along straight paths. When you walk, your steps will not be hampered; when you run, you will not stumble.”
Leah
Thank you for sharing those encouraging verses, Hope!
Rachel
So glad you had dry days for week 2!!:) <3
Ah!! Love those verses. Thank you for sharing! So encouraging and perfect for Spring100.? They remind me of a verse I have been thinking about lately, “Righteousness shall go before Him; and shall set us in the way of His steps.” Ps 85:13 So thankful for God’s guidance and protection!
Keep up the fantastic work, Hope! ??
Faith
I didn’t encounter any wild animals on week 2. 🙂 🙂 And in terms of weather… I probably had good weather for the most part. 🙂
Rachel
Glad you didn’t have any meetings with a random grizzly bear or rattled. ?? Enjoy the remainder of week 3!!
