Week 13 πŸ’― || 100MileMonday

“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 3:8-12

IMPORTANT INFO
PLEASE READ

☞ Your final day to walk Spring100 miles is Tuesday, June 21st!! Since Spring ends halfway through the day, we are allowing you to walk throughout that entire day.

☞ Our next post will be the FINAL 100MileMonday for 2022. This will be our Spring100 Finish Line Grand Finally! That post is going to be one of the most important posts to read through and follow instructions very carefully as it holds our final Mile Log. There will be a post the following day (Tuesday, June 21st) that will contain our “Finish Line Form” and instructions for Spring100 finishers! Please be diligent to keep your eyes open for both posts and read.

☞ Would you do me a favor? It would be such a blessing to have the FINAL 100MileMonday post(NEXT WEEK) filled with faces of Spring100ers across the globe. Even if you have already reached 100+ miles, go grab one last Spring100 walk and snap a photo. Praise the Lord, you are walking β€œalongside” hundreds of other Spring100ers this year and only a small fraction have sent in photos. Let’s make the last post THE BEST YET! Send in your photos and short Spring100 VIDEOS to Photos@Spring100Challenge.com by Sunday morning, 10AM(cst) June 19TH to be featured in the FINISH LINE GRANDE FINALLY!

QUESTION: I am swapping the question of the week out with a request! Would you take a moment and give fellow Spring100ers who have just a few miles or maybe what seems an “impossible number” of miles left a good dose of encouragement? πŸ™ŒπŸ» So many have finished BUT many are still working hard to make it to the finish line. From injuries to busy schedules to the unexpected that finds its way into our Spring days, getting behind happens. Let’s encourage them on in the Lord! πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ½β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸΌ

Woohoo!!!! So very close to the finish line!! And yet…for those of you with many miles left to go, there’s still time!!! I encourage you to just get in as many miles as you can, when you can. Hey, you can have fun and be creative!

-Try starting out your day with a quick mile, and then grab a mile or two in the evenings as well.
-For those of you who are working, and don’t have much time throughout your day, just 15 minutes of your lunch break could gain you atleast 1/2 mile!
-When you have time, definitely choose the longer way to walk! We have a couple routes where you either make laps for a mile, or walk one mile to the end of a road…and then have to walk back. πŸ˜‰ Choosing to walk the longer way definitely gives you motivation to finish, when you may be tempted to stop at one mile if there’s an option.
-Try planning a group walk for this week, because walking with company always makes longer distances funner. πŸ™‚ We’ve done a couple 4 1/2 milers this Spring, and that really helps with a week’s mile!!
-Divide your miles left by the days, and try to make that quota…then some when you can!! I think having it broken day into days can sometimes help it seem less daunting. But then we also have a friend who walked 25 miles in the last week of Spring100 a couple years ago! Just find you a walking buddy, something good to listen to, a longer Scripture passage to memorize, or take the time to pray…and start walking! πŸ™‚

Keep going in the strength of the Lord, looking towards the goal! Remember that however many or few miles you have walking so far this Spring100, it’s been worth it! Just as in the race of life, the miles and journeys and struggles and lessons we trod are worth it, when we do it for the Lord and draw closer to HIM and to our true Prize along the way!! I’m cheering ya’ll on!!!πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’―πŸ™‹πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

To those of you who haven’t finished yet- Keep up the great work!! I know it may seem like you have way too many miles left to get before you can catch up, but you can still do it!!! The miles add up really fast once you get going! even if you can’t take super long walks, you might could do a coulple shorter walks during the day to help catch up! I am praying for each of you as you work to finish this challenge!! Go in the strength of the Lord. May He bless you in each step you take towards the finish line ❀️

    Walkers’ pep-talk:
Early in the spring, I walked two 22-mile weeks in a row, followed by a 25-mile week. It was both exhilarating and exhausting — really! It felt so good watching those miles melt away! Commitment to the task was absolutely necessary. Necessities and walking each day were my first priorities, so I got the job done. (I “collapsed” for a couple of days afterwards, though, but it was so worth it!)

To those who don’t make the 100-mile goal, kudos to you for sticking with it to the very end!!!!! You’ve walked with us part of the journey, and so your “company” has been welcome! πŸ™‚

P.S. I love the page with 100 bubbles that Rosalie, Iris and Eden colored! What a great idea!! Also enjoyed the wonderful pictures this week (for 2 weeks)!

Yes! Congrats to all who have finished and to those who feel behind remember Philippians 4:13, I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me!β€οΈπŸ‘ It is so important to remember that. Also, this is not a competition or race to see who can walk more, has more time to get things accomplished faster, or who comments and posts pictures the most, but a challenge, to get out more.πŸ¦‹πŸ˜Ž To enjoy God’s world and get closer to Him. I am rooting for everyone! Keep up the good work and I’ll see ya’ll at the finish line by God’s grace.

Even if you have only completed 10 of your 100 miles, you can still get the remainder done by doing around 13 miles a day! And if you split up walks to mornings and evenings, that means you can do two smaller 6.5ish mile walks a day. Making smaller walks happen has really helped me log my miles around busy lives! But remember the goal overall is to glorify God in all you do and to draw nearer to friends and family in this event! See you all at the Finale next week!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2.

I am really behind and encourage those who are behind as well to think of this verse as you walk and press on to the finish line as you work to accomplish your 100 miles! Also With God all things are possible Matthew 19:26 is a good verse to think about as you work in finishing your miles. God bless you all! You can do it!!! Press on!
