“Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.”
Isaiah 40:28-29

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Isaiah 40:31
Here we are!!๐๐ป Week 7 has been accomplished by the grace of God and we’ve entered week 8. This week we will pass the “Halfway Mark” of the 2021 Spring100! This 93-day challenge is halfway over and to each and every one of you who have persevered and pressed forward, conquering one mile at a time, WAY TO GO!! If you are behind, you have plenty of time to catch up. ๐๐ผ And some pretty exciting news… if for some reason, you have not been able to even begin your miles yet(pregnancy, broken bones, sickness, travel, work, etc.) YOU can still make it to the finish line on time! If you have walked zero miles for the Spring100, a simple goal of 2.2 miles each day will get you caught up and to the finish line on time. I can’t wait to see you there. This week, I am meditating on Isaiah 40 as I enjoy my spring100 walks. Verse 29 says, “He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.” and in verse 31 we are told that as we wait upon the Lord we “shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Aren’t you thankful that Lord God gives power to the faint? I sure am!! For those who are feeling spiritually and/or physically faint and weary this week, I am earnestly praying the Lord will renew your strength! As we go through the reading plan, I was blessed by the reminder found in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.” With that blessed truth from God’s Word, let’s go conquer week 8 in the strength of the Lord. Happy Walking/Running y’all! ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ

โWherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.โ
Hebrews 12:1-2
Abigail Maxwell
It had gone pretty well for me! I have had mostly good weather, and wonderful walking company!
Rachel @Spring100
Iโm so happy to hear itโs been a good time for you, Abigail!!!! ๐๐ผKeep it up. Youโre doing great!! โฅ๏ธ
Sarah H
It’s great to have the accountability to keep up with the habit of walking…even when I’m not feeling like it, knowing I have to report at the end of the week helps me get up and walk anyway!
Rachel @Spring100
I agree!! The accountability is huge especially when your schedule is busy!! ๐ Iโm so glad this has been helpful for you, Sarah. Keep on pressing toward the finish line!!! ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ฏ
Scott Johnson
Hey I think I accidentally put my miles for this week in last weeks quota. Is there some way you can fix that .Corissa B Johnson . Cuz last week was only 4.
Rachel @Spring100
Hello Corissa! ๐ If you could go resubmit the correct miles in the correct form, I can delete the wrong form. Thank you!!๐
Hannah Kohner
I love walking as the trees have started to bloom! Everywhere you look it’s beautiful greenery (and even some pink and white!) I’ve also been challenged to walk no matter the weather, and I’m so glad I have!
Rachel @Spring100
I am so thankful you’re enjoying the beautiful scenery and challenging yourself to walk in whatever weather the Lord blesses you with!! Keep it up, Hannah!!๐ฏ๐บ๐
Abigail Stiff
Being half way through I think my favourite thing (and a lot of people are going to say this)is stopping after I’ve run along way, sitting down and enjoying nature, the view, and the weather! ๐There has been a lot of rain๐ง so I’ve haven’t been able to do a lot but its still been great! Today starting a new week, I’m hoping to do much more. As I walk I think of the verse,” Oh Lord, how manifold are Your works, in wisdom You have made them all Psalms 104:24.What a great reminder!
Rachel @Spring100
I love that verse you shared from Psalm 104, Abigail!! ๐๐ผ๐ May the Lord bless and refresh you this next week with accomplished miles and much time spent enjoying His glorious creation!๐
Hannah Stiff
Physical activity on a daily basis has been such a huge blessing to me! I am outside regularly doing farm projects, but to walk at least a mile in the afternoon helps me use muscles and joints that don’t get involved in other chores. (:
2 Corinthians is a beautiful book to me, as it shows a church who was previously estranged to their founder and spiritual father Paul. After being rebuked, came to repentance and contrition, looking to renew their relationship with the apostle. Paul’s eloquent defense of his ministry in chapter 6 is especially stirring i.e. ” we commend ourselves as ministers of God… in needs, in distresses, in stripes.” He went through so much for the sake of the Gospel of Christ, even for an assembly who ridiculed and turned away for a time!
Grace Silvey
It was great to see your comment, Hannah!! ๐
I was struck also with how much Paul went through for the sake of Christ. He went through a lot, and if we are ever faced with persecution what a comfort this would be to have the knowledge of his sufferings and how in chapter 12 he says that God’s grace is sufficient for us!
Hannah Stiff
So true Grace! Knowing other Christians have gone before us and faced such awful pain and sorrow helps me when I consider what lies ahead of us. This world certainly isn’t getting any better, that’s for sure, and I see Canada as a nation buckling to sin. It’s time to gird ourselves with God’s armor to prepare for attacks coming our way!
Rachel @Spring100
Hannah! So glad the walks are causing you to work muscles and joints that farm life doesn’t. Farm work can be quite an exercise! Great job getting out and getting that afternoon mile in.๐๐๐ป
Ah! I love your thoughts as we finish out 2 Corinthians. It reminded me of what Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 2, “Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.”
Keep up the great work, Hannah!! ๐๐ผ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐
Hannah Stiff
Amen Rachel! I love that verse you shared. It is such a heartwarming example of Paul’s sacrificial love for God’s children.
Agape
My favorite thing about this challenge is that my dad and mom joined the challenge. My dad has had health challenges for many years, and the Spring100 challenge has benefited both of them. It has been a real blessing! I thank God for this challenge.
I am also thankful for how it has challenged me to get out and walk a lot more. Walking in nature has been a blessing to me. Thank you for the challenge! God bless you!
Rachel @Spring100
Ah, I am rejoicing and praising the Lord to hear the challenge has been a benefit to both your parents. What a blessing to hear, Agape!! THANK YOU! โฅ๏ธ
Grace Silvey
Hmm…I think my favorite thing from Spring100 so far has been all the sibling/friend walks that we have been able to go on! Last week I was able to take a walk with my adorable niece which was so fun!
One verse that stood out to me in 2 Corinthians 9 is vs.6 – ” But this I say: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Let that encourage us to not be sowing little, but BOUNTIFULLY, so that when we stand before God we may hear…”Well done, my good and faithful servant.”
Hope everyone has a great walking week!!!
Rachel @Spring100
I am so thankful you’ve had those fun and edifying walks with friends and family, Grace!! That is a special benefit to the Spring100 that I also enjoy.๐๐
OH! You shared a portion of 2 Corinthians that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. AMEN! ๐ ๐ ๐ I love how the verse following reminds us that the Lord God gives us the “seed” to sow, “Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness”
Keep up the beautiful work and thank you for the encouragement, Grace! โบ๏ธ๐
Hannah Bartin
I think my favorite part of Spring 100 is the accountability to go exercise, take a bit to just enjoy being outside in nature and praying, etc
Also watching myself get strong enough to start running again. That has been very triumphant for me.
Rachel @Spring100
So thankful this challenge has offered that accountability and helped you to get out and enjoy God’s beautiful creation!! GREAT JOB on the running. That is a huge victory!!๐๐ป

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” 2 Corinthians 4:6-7
Rachel @Spring100
Love those verses! Thank you for sharing, Micah. โบ๏ธ๐
Emma Flournoy
I love seeing all the pictures of families genuinely enjoying being in each others’ company!
My favorite thing about Spring100 has just been that it forces me to get up and go outside and do something that involves moving. ๐ I’m very much not an outdoorsy person or energetic person in general, so the accountability of this is really good for me.
Rachel @Spring100
So happy this has offered you a good source of accountability, Emma! KEEP up the FABULOUS WALKING!!๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐
Emma Flournoy
Thank you! ๐

I loved seeing the California redwoods picture, and Colorado, and the picture with buffalo in the background! Also, congratulations to everyone that completed your 100 miles this past week!!!
Anna, I hope you can make an additional 100 miles before the end of Spring!! ๐
My favorite thing about the Spring 100, so far this year, was discovering that I can actually make up some walking time in my garage when necessary! The space is mostly empty, so I can set my timer and go for it. My joints are now pretty much used to all the quick turning. I change direction when needed to help with that. I can get my heart rate and respiration up just as if I’m taking a vigorous walk! Nice when it’s not possible to get out!!
The last portion of 2 Cor. is primarily Paul’s argument to the church at Corinth that he has God-given authority to be called the Apostle to the Gentiles, even though he wasn’t a disciple during Jesus’s ministry. Some of the members of the Corinthian church were questioning him! He raises valid points about his many hardships and sufferings for the Lord’s sake and the sake of the church, and also the fact that it is God that commends His servants, not people. In one place he tells them, “…though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.” 2 Cor. 12:15. That is sometimes such a hard fact of life!!!
Still, in the midst of Paul’s personal testimonies, he writes, “But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” (2 Cor. 10:17), giving God all of the praise, as it is fit and infinitely correct!
Rachel @Spring100
I love your garage discovery!! So glad you can grab miles safely inside when the weather isn’t great.๐โค๏ธ
I also love what you shared from your reading of 2 Corinthians. The verse you mentioned โโฆthough the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.โ stuck out like a sore thumb to me. Painful truth yet, by God’s grace and in His strength, Paul continued to love and pour out his life for the church in Corinth. Thank you so much for your encouraging comment, Sheri!! โฅ๏ธ
Anna
Yayyyyy!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!! keep up the FANTASTIC work!!!!! Don’t give up!!!!!! For those that have already finished: great job!!!!!!!!!!!!! Way to go completing your miles!!!!! ๐๐ป๐ And for those who haven’t finished yet, keep going!!!!! You’ve got this!!!! Don’t give up!!! Keep going in the strength of the Lord!!!! I’m praying for each of you Spring 100ers, that you are blessed in a special way each day at you you complete each mile!!! Again, keep up the great work!!!!
My favorite part about the Spring100 so far is that SO many people are doing this challenge together!!!! And, going for long walks with my mom, my sister, my neighbor, and my Nana!!!! That has been a HUGE blessing!!!!!!!!
My favorite porion of Scripture from this week is “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9โญ-โฌ10) it has been a HUGE encouragement to me!!!๐๐๐ป
Hope each one of you has a lovely rest of your week, and a wonderfully blessed time waking this week!!!!
Rachel @Spring100
Thank you so much for your sweet encouragement, Anna!!!!! And congratulations on finishing your 100 miles.๐๐๐๐ป
Oh! I love that portion from 2 Corinthians 12. It is a daily encouragement to me! ๐

WOW!!!๐ฏI can’t believe this SPRING100 is flying by SO fast!!๐ฎ๐ Great job to all those who have already gotten 100!!๐๐ค ๐บ and to those who are behind….KEEP GOING!!!! you can do it!!! ๐๐๐
Hmm…my favorite thing about the SPRING100 is that there are SO many people all doing it together.๐๐๐ I also like having the accountability to get out and walk even with having a very busy schedule because I’m not very good at getting out and walking or exercising on my own and am a lot better at it when I have the accountability!!๐ค ๐ I never regret going out walking and spending time outdoors in God’s gorgeous creation though!!๐บ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ณ๐ผ๐ค๏ธ๐๐ค๐๐
Great pictures everyone!!!!!๐๐๐Such happy and smiling faces!!!๐๐๐๐ค Keep pressing on for Jesus!๐๐๐ป
Rachel @Spring100
“my favorite thing about the SPRING100 is that there are SO many people all doing it together.” Isn’t it such a fun aspect to the Spring100 that there are so many of us working toward the same goal?? โบ๏ธ๐ People from all across the world and all ages! It is so exciting!! ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ผ๐ฏ
