“But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7
How did week 4 go for you all?? ππΌββοΈππ»ββοΈππΌAre you all on track and getting your miles in? I love the above “walking” themed verse that found its way to me this week, “But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”
1 John 1:7. It reminded me of the sweet fellowship we have as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus our Lord! And the unique fellowship we have right here during this Spring100 Challenge. It’s a special time for believers from across the world to join together and spur each other on in the spiritual race we are on while we also spur each other on toward the physical Spring100 goal of walking/running 100 or more miles over the duration of Spring. So, as we enter week 5 of Spring100, I want to leave each one of you with a goal. A goal to “Therefore encourage one another and build one another up“ 1 Thessalonians 5:11! And as I leave you with that goal I also leave you with a challenge for week 5 of the Spring100. I challenge each of you to find someone to walk a Spring100 mile with and use that time to encourage them in the Lord! So, with this challenge before you, are you ready to go out and conquer week 5 in the strength of the Lord?? LET’S DO IT! ππ»π―
This Week’s Unique Challenge: As mentioned above, this week I CHALLENGE YOU to find someone special to walk a mile with! Encourage them with good conversation and encouragement in the Lord!
Week 4 QUESTIONS!!
1.) If you could choose 1 person to walk a mile with who would encourage you the most, who would you choose?
2.) For those going through the Spring100 Reading Plan: Are you on track?? How have you been encouraged through the first 6 chapters of 1 Corinthian this week?
This Week’s Spring100 Scripture Reading Plan-April 12th-April 18th:
β’ Monday: 1 Corinthians 8
β’Tuesday: 1 Corinthians 9
β’Wednesday: 1 Corinthians 10
β’Thursday: 1 Corinthians 11
β’Friday: 1 Corinthians 12
β’Saturday: 1 Corinthians 13
β’Sunday: 1 Corinthians 14

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Hebrews 10:24-25

Hello Rachel!
We are so enjoying these days of walking, enjoying the sunshine, and marveling at God’s glorious world!
I enjoy walking with different ones of my family–whoever happens to be walking at the same time as myself. Even if we don’t have a topic to discuss, just walking together is great for growing closer to one another and spending time together. π
~Lauren
Rachel @Spring100
Enjoy the Family on your walks is always such an encouragement!! ππ»β₯οΈ So happy yβall are enjoying the spring100 walks and Godβs glorious creation!!

Wow! I can’t believe we’ve done 4 weeks of this! Every time I walk I’m glad I did. I am also enjoying the daily scripture reading program. Sometimes I miss a day or two, but I can easily catch up. 1 Corinthians is a very exhortational portion of Scripture. Unfortunately that church in Corinth was experiencing a lot of spiritual problems and blatant immorality that Paul had to boldly rebuke. It’s a great reminder to me not to let sin stay for any length of time in my life, but to out and out confess and forsake it, for it it displeasing to God and damaging to those around me.
Happy walking/jogging/running everybody!
Hannah
MJL
I can’t believe it has been 4 weeks either!!!
Rachel @Spring100
I know!! So excited to see us all here at week 5!!ππ»β₯οΈ
Great job on catching up on the scripture reading when necessary. Iβve had to do the same thing this week but, like you said, itβs not too hard if you are behind and so worth the effort!!π§‘π

I would probably choose my Mom, one of my siblings or a girl from Church to walk with me! It would be fun to have someone else join me or multiple people!!! Have a good day!

Moms are always encouraging and a fun walking partner!!! β₯οΈπ

I would so love to walk a mile with my friend Anna P.! She encourages me every time we talk π And we also live 11+ hours away from each other, so walking a mile (or 3 π) would be a great reason to get together!!!

Ah!! Sounds like you two have a good and edifying friendship. ππ»β₯οΈ

Hello Rachel!
I am really enjoying these beautiful days of walking and enjoying the glorious weather. π
I love walking with different members of my family–whoever happens to be walking at the same time as myself. π Even if we don’t have a topic that we’re discussing, just spending that time together has been really great! I am thankful for the opportunity!! π

I’d like to walk with my best friend, maybe one day I’ll be able to this spring, but we live in different states. And for the record I did a post about one of my walking days from this week.
Rachel @Spring100
I hope you two enjoy a walk together this spring!!!π

It’s a few hour drive, but we may have a couple reasons if we getting a better car.

Four weeks WOW! This has been a great week! Our weather has been wonderful bright sunshine and blue skies! But sometimes we get fog and light rain which makes you think its going to be a no walking day but then it clears up after noon. So good to see all the pictures! When walking I like to have my walking stick and just enjoy the nature around me!(: If i were to walk with someone for a mile I would walk with my friends from church. Thankyou Rachel for all you do! This has been an awesome experience and I hope to have a picture up next week!
Rachel @Spring100
Iβm so so thankful itβs been a great week for you, Abigail!!! Thank you for your encouragement!! π€π§‘

Four weeks already!? Yikes, it’s went by so fast!
I enjoy walking with my family. I’ve been walking with my dad for the most part, but I also enjoy walking with other members of my family.

Such a blessing to be able to walk with family!!!!
Rachel @Spring100
I very much enjoy walks with my dad!! Great job on getting those miles in. πππΌ
Sarah Silvey
Enjoyed the Mile Monday post, Rachel! 1 John 1:7 has been on my mind a lot so it made me smile to see it again here!
I would like to walk with a friend from church… she is the best encourager ever!!
I have been enjoying reading 1 Corinthians (and staying on schedule, for the most part π). This verse in chapter 1 was encouraging to me…
βFor the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.β
MJL
Love that Scripture! Let’s not lose sight of the reality that there is POWER in the gospel.
Rachel @Spring100
Such a beautiful and powerful verse!!! To us who are being saved, the power of God. Amen!! Thank you for sharing, Sarah!!! ππΌβ₯οΈ

Anna
Wow!!!! Has it already been 4 weeks?!??π±π
Hey, to everyone reading this (and even those who aren’tπ) GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!! it’s so encouraging to be able to do this challenge with SOOOOOO many people!!! Let’s all continue this challenge in the strength of the Lord!!!! Can’t wait to finish this challenge with each of you!!!!ππ»π
Week 4 has been so blessed for me!!!! Although I’ve missed walking with our neighbor this week!ππ But nice to see her walking with her sisters!!!!!πππ»π I’ve had a great time going on a couple decently long walks with my mom this week, as well as a couple shorter walks with my sister! Not to mention, my family has been SO privileged to walk with our dear “Nana” each Monday!! And the weather has been pretty fabulous!π
So, in all honestly, the one person I would always choose to go on a walk with me would be my mom! And thanfully, I get to enjoy (almost) every walk I go on with her!!!π Aside from her, I would LOVE LOVE LOOOOOVVEE (!!!!!!!!!!!) to go on a walk with you, Rachel! As well as any of your family members! π Y’all are definitely some of the best encouragers I know, and so thankful for y’all! Plus I know for a fact that you and your sisters make FABULOUS walking partners!!!! πππ»π
And about the reading plan…. I got behind this week, but working on catching up!! But what I’ve read so far has been a true blessing to me!!!!!!
Again, great job everyone!!!! Keep up the FABULOUS work!!! Can’t wait to walk this next week with YOU!!!!!!
“For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: thou art God alone. Teach me thy way, O Lord ; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name. I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore. For great is thy mercy toward me: and thou hast delivered my soul from the lowest hell.”
Psalms 86:10β-β¬13
Rachel @Spring100
Aw!!!! Anna!! Thank you for your sweet encouragement.π€β₯οΈ I’d go on a walk with you any day!!!!!! π
Keep up the great work!! Way to go catching up with the reading plan. I was doing that over the weekend.π
Amanda
“Itβs a special time for believers from across the world to join together and spur each other on in the spiritual race we are on while we also spur each other on toward the physical Spring100 goal of walking/running 100 or more miles over the duration of Spring.” That just perfectly sums up Spring100, Rachel! An encouraging person I would love to walk a mile with would have to be my mom, or a friend from church.
I am on track with the reading plan, although I had to play catch up on a few days. In reading chapter seven, verses 27-24, I was encouraged by Paul’s exhortation to live the life that God has called us to; it has helped me to refocus on being content with where God has me right now, and to trust Him with the future. β€οΈ
LOVED seeing everyone’s photos!! Keep up the great work, guys!
Amanda
Sorry, that’s chapter 7 verses 17-24.
Rachel @Spring100
Amanda! Thank you for your encouraging comment. YES!!! 1 Corinthians 7:17-24 is a beautiful reminder to be content in the calling the Lord has given each one of us for today! β₯οΈ Thank you for sharing for that encouraging truth/reminder. βΊοΈ
Agape
Enjoyed a walk in the fresh early morning air this morning! The birds singing, the fresh air, a rabbit hopping off into the underbrush… God’s Creation is beautiful!
Thank you for the challenge! I have been enjoying it!
I would probably choose to walk with my dad, mom, next younger sister, or friend Katarina. She was delighted when I showed her that you had featured her photo!! Thank you, Rachel! God bless you for the Spring100 challenge! May He provide for all the needs!!
But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4:18-20
Rachel @Spring100
I agree, God’s creation leaves me in awe. Absolutely breathtaking!
Agape! Your comment is such an encouragement. β₯οΈπ€ THANK YOU! I am praising the Lord to hear you are enjoying this challenge. I have prayed you would enjoy it and be blessed through it!! God is faithful. ππΌββοΈ

It feels good to be walking this week after having injured my back and coming down with a head cold that kept my back from healing!! I’m working at getting caught up with my miles. Gita Barker, my walking partner for many years, is still plugging along, doing 10 and a half miles weekly at the age of 99 years and 10 months old!! We don’t walk together much anymore, as she now walks at a different time and a different speed, but I stop in and visit her after I finish my walk, and we encourage each other in many ways. She has truly been my walking encouragement all of these years!!
I love the gorgeous photos from different parts of the USA and the world. God has certainly made some beautiful places for our enjoyment! I’m struggling to not be envious!!! π
I’m on track with the scripture reading, praise the Lord!
Romans blessed my heart (as usual) over and over, especially seeing again how 8:28, all things work together for good to God’s elect, is linked to 8:29: we are predestinated to be conformed to the image of Christ! We know that only God is good, Matt. 19:17, so everything that happens in our lives works together to form us into the image of God’s dear Son!!
I Cor. chapters 1-6 show us in several verses how that everything is of God and through God. We are absolutely nothing apart from Him, “That no flesh should glory in His presence.” 1:29; and, “He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” 1:31. Likewise, Paul didn’t preach in his own power and wisdom, “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” 2:5.
It is always good for me to remember how high God is, and how low I need to remain!
Agape
Thank you, Sheri, for your encouraging comment! God bless you! I so wish I could stop by and visit with you and Gita! God bless you both! Please give her my love and tell her I’ve been thinking about her! Love, Agape
Rachel @Spring100
SHERI!!!!! How good it is to see you pop in with one of your Day-maker comments!! I am rejoicing to hear you are back up and walking after that back injury and cold. PRAISE THE LORD! ππ»β₯οΈ Thank you for sharing those beautiful truths from God’s Word with me/us today. I was so blessed by the verses you pulled out to share! ” conformed to the image of Christ” How amazing is this?!
shericlaude
Amen! Me too, Agape, but so grateful for the times we have enjoyed together in the past! God bless you and your family!

Amen, Rachel! It is truly amazing considering that we start our lives as enemies to God!! (Romans 8:7)
Rachel M.
It’s been a crazy 4 weeks of spring 100 but I should be able to easily finish my 100 miles this week! π±πππΌββοΈππ
As for who I would walk with…don’t call me crazy but I think the most encouraging person I would like to walk with the most, right now, today, is Jesus…physically…like in the Bible times. It’s been a rough several weeks for me and sometimes nothing else helps except talking to God. β€
Keep up the wonderful walking/running everyone! ENJOY week 5! ππΌββοΈ
Agape
Rachel, I don’t think you’re crazy. I have often thought how wonderful it would be for Jesus to be walking beside me… physically… and conversing with me. But just to think, imagine, better yet, actually KNOW that He is right there, I CAN talk to Him, and He DOES understand me, is so comforting. Praying for you tonight. God bless you, Rachel!
Rachel @Spring100
I agree with Agape, Rachel! You are not crazy. β₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ I am so thankful that HE is you ultimate source of encouragement. “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you”. Keep on looking to Jesus, Rachel!! He is faithful. I am so excited to see you get to the 100 mile mark. WAY TO GO!!!!ππΌπ―π€ Praying for you tonight!
Rachel H.
I would definitely choose to go walking with my sister! She always inspires me to be a better person, and she has really good advice for life in general!
Iβm doing the reading challenge, but not really staying with it. I tend to fall behind some days and then read ahead later! Itβs neat how I usually end up reading something each day that really applies to my life, though! God is certainly able to use whatever we read from His Word!
Rachel @Spring100
” usually end up reading something each day that really applies to my life” I have the same thing happen to me! β₯οΈπ
Caroline Flournoy
If I could choose 1 person to walk with who would encourage me I would probably choose my older sister Emma, or our pastor from our church back in Ohio that moved to a different church a little while before we movedπ My sister encourages me a LOT and so did our pastor back in Ohio!πππ€π If I was allowed to walk with a person from history I would walk with Dietrich Bonhoeffer or Nate Saint.π
I’m a little behind on the reading plan…. It’s been a super busy week!π I’m also following/doing a Postal Bible study right now.ππ
Great pictures everyone!! SO many happy and smiling faces!! I love it!πΊπππππ€ππ Happy walking for week 5!! I can’t believe it’s already been 4 weeks!! time flies when you’re having fun I guess!!πππ

Hello everyone!!!
I hope you’re all enjoying a very BLESSED Friday!! It has been such a gorgeous week here for Week 5 of the Spring100!!! LOVE this Springtime!!π€πΊ As always, it’s such a delight to see all of your joyful faces in each 100MileMonday post (a highlight of the week!). KEEP it up, everyone!!!
Oh WOW, that one person would be so hard to pick!! I could think of several that I would love walking with!!!π€ YOU Rachel, or Catherine!!ππΌββοΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ But in the day-to-day, as others have mentioned, I am so thankful + blessed to walk with various combinations of my family members! Sooo many good conversations and heart-to-hearts can be shared in those precious times…
I have been joining in on the Spring100 Reading Plan and really enjoying it!!! I think I’m currently on trackπ, and reading through this time around, it seems I have noticed things in a new light. So many good, thought-provoking portions in there!!β₯οΈ A couple passages from our last week’s readings…
“For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?” (4:7) This is humbling… it is HE who has made us, sustained us, and given us any and all righteousness + hope + future that we have!! βBlessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.β Psalm 68:19
And 6:19-20 is always convicting to me, that we might glorifying Him with our ALL – “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
THANK YOU for your encouragement, Rachel!! In that we all have fellowship with one another through JESUS our Savior!! Thank you for the challenge to SPREAD that fellowship + encouragement + love to others!!ππΌββοΈ
Keep pressing towards the Goal and the finish line, everyone!! “And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.” (1 Corinthians 3:23)β₯οΈ
Rachel @Spring100
So good to see you checking in, Martha Joy!!ππΌββοΈπ― Aw, you made my day!! I will take a walk with you any day. π€ I think we’d set out to walk a mile but enjoy ourselves so much that 5 miles would fly by without us even knowing it! ππ And to sweeten the walk, we’d invite Catherine and Maggie to join us and walk the entire day away! π One day, Lord willing. πππΌ
LOVE your thoughts on 1 Corinthians 4:7!!! Amen. THANK YOU for sharing!! Encouraged me this morning! β€οΈ Keep up the great Spring100 walking!! 5 weeks almost done, by God’s grace!!ππΌββοΈππΌββοΈ

Howdy folks! ππΌββοΈ I’m just now checking in, logging my Week 4 miles today… π It’s so fun to see everyone enjoying walks in the beautiful springtime! This weather’s been amazing. π
Thank you for sharing 1 John 1:7, Rachel. Amen! It’s such a blessing to be running the race together and I thank YOU for your encouragement to be encouraging! π Love that idea for the Week 5 challenge. Hmmmm…your first question there is a tough one, though! I love walking with any member of my family, especially we can have those one-on-one conversations about deep things! Truly, anytime when you walk with someone (or, for me, it’s also working in the garden with someone!), those conversations come easier and I love it when that happens, no matter who I’m with! Sometimes God gives the best encouragement when you may least be expecting it! I think you and MJ have a great idea going there, though… π
With God’s help, I am on track for the Bible reading and have been enjoying it. I’ve especially been thinking about unity among the body of Christ (10:17, chapter 12)…and also about seeking GOD’s truth, not man’s “truth!” Lots to consider, seek, and pray about! I hope everyone’s studies have been going well and that our hearts will all be opened to His perfect truth, which is in Jesus! “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed in Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32)
Keep pressing on, everyone! π

I agree, those one-on-one conversations with family members are such an encouragement and seem to strengthen relationships.𧑠Hehe, I am glad you like mine Martha Joy’s, and my idea! ππ
Aw, praise the Lord! I am so glad to hear you are on tracking and gleaming rich truth and encouragement from God’s Word. That is a blessing to hear! I love how you pointed out Jesus Christ is Truth. Your verse reminded me of John 14:6, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”
Keep up the beautiful work, Maggie! THANK YOU for encouraging us with your comment.π
