Spring100 MILE LOG

…………………………………

…………………………………

Y’all! We are just 18 short days away from the FINAL DAY of the Spring100! ?‍♀️?‍♂️ The finish line is in sight, faces are set like flints on the end goal of 100 miles, many are making up for miles which need to be caught up on and counting those which have been walked, diligently making sure they will cross the finish line on time. As we near the finish of the SPRING100, I see the steadfast determination of so many fellow participants as they set their sights on the JUNE 21ST finish line!?? I am reminded our spirit race and the command to set our eyes on Christ, following His example as we run with endurance[Heb 12:1-3]. The only way we are going to run with endurance the race of life and finish strong is if we look to Jesus, the Author and FINISHER of our faith. We are promised as we do so, we will not be moved and never put to shame, “For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.” [Isaiah 50:7]! I cannot stress enough the need for each one of you to fix your eyes like a flint on our Lord and Savior[Psalm 34:5, Heb 12:2, Is 50:7], finding in Him your strength[Psalm 62:2, Psalm 105:4, Hab 3:19, Phil 4:13, 2 Cor 12:9], and understanding that HE is your prize[Phil 3:14, Gen 15:1, James 1:12]. Jesus Christ has run this race that we are on[Heb 6:20], He knows the path we take[Job 23:10], He alone leads us in victory[1 Cor 15:57], and through Him we will be triumphant! “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” 2 Cor 2:15. So, set those eyes like a flint and RUN! Y’all, enjoy the 12th week of SPRING100!!! ??‍♀️?

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.”
Hebrews 12:1-3

I don’t get sores but pineapple actually completely numbs/kills my taste buds. So if I eat it, I have to eat it a few hours before or after a meal or with with other foods! Kinda funny.??

Fresh (not canned) pineapple has digestive enzymes, making it great for an after-meal treat. Like papaya, it helps digestion, but can be hard on sensitive mouths.

Watermelon for me!! <3 I can make a whole meal out of it on a hot summer day. 🙂

It's hard to believe that Spring 100 2019 is almost over already. BUT, there is still time for getting in those miles!!

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:9-10

As we start the new week, let's keeping pressing on and making the effort to get in those miles. Don't get discouraged,
and DON'T give up!!!! And, let's try to keep our eyes open to notice ways that we can minister and do good to others!!

Have another blessed week of walking!

THANK YOU for the encouragement!! I love how you reminded us to keep our eyes open to notice ways to minister and do good to others. AMEN! Reminds me of something I read this morning in John, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” May we continually seek to pour ourselves out in service to others for God’s glory!! ?

I have to amend my comment above…Gita loves watermelon, and even though she also loves pineapple, I still chuckle at the memory of the puckered face she made while trying to eat some fresh pineapple that I shared with her a few weeks ago. So…I called her to be certain. Hands down, she chose watermelon.
