Fun Stats from week 7:
ππΌ 212,440.30 miles walked to date for the 2025 Spring100
ππΌ 419 Participants have already completed their 100 Mile goal. CONGRATULATIONS!!π₯³
As of today, we are officially HALFWAY through this 92-day challenge!! Many have already crossed the finish line, and I am amazed at how many more are just a few short miles behind. πππ»ββοΈππ½ββοΈ Want to know some encouraging news? If you are behind, you still have plenty of time to catch up! Even if you have yet to walk a single mile for this Spring100 season, all it takes is 2 miles a day for the remainder of Spring to cross the 100-mile finish line. You got this!ππΌ This past week, my mind has gone to the exhilarating exhortation Paul gives to RUN TO WIN. As so many have finished strong and so many are patiently persevering, pressing toward the Spring100 finish line, I am reminded of the race of life and the imperishable crown we are promised. Both our Spring100 race and our spiritual race must be run with a goal in sight. “Our goal is Christ, and everything we do must reflect that aim.” As we cross the halfway mark, enter week 8 of the 2025 Spring 100, and continue to run with endurance in our spiritual race, I pray each of you will keep your sights fixed on the prize and RUN TO WIN! ππΌββοΈπ―
Spring100 Weekly Meditation
Run To Win
1 Corinthians 9:24-27 || Week 7
“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
βPaul uses the image of a race to show the diligence that ought to be employed in running toward the goal of eternal life. He does not run without aim, but with a clear target in viewβhe directs his energy and efforts toward the prize. Such should be the case for every believer in their pursuit of holiness and godliness.β John Calvin
“The apostle Paulβs use of the athleteβs metaphor in 1 Corinthians 9:26 reveals that the Christian life is not a casual pursuit but requires careful planning, effort, and perseverance. It is a race to be run with a goal in mind, not a haphazard endeavor.” Charles Hodge
“In the Christian life, as in a race, we must be sure that we are running with a clear objective. Our goal is Christ, and everything we do must reflect that aimβevery action, every decision, must be with the purpose of advancing toward that final victory.” Martin Luther

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

It’s encouraging to know the graph will continue to log 100+ miles this year!! Yay!! It stopped at 100 last year.

I am behind on my miles, but I keep putting in the effort and miles when I can sneak away for a 2 mile walk after work. It’s been a struggle with weather, illness, and taking care of my Dad. By God’s grace I’m able to see the finish line slowly getting closer.
Rachel @Spring100
You’re doing such a great job, Linda!!!ππΌ
micah J
Keep going, Linda! You are doing a great job!
Amanda S.
Way to go on running/walking with endurance! π And blessings to you for taking care of your dad. We are caretakers for my grandparents, and it is such a sweet and special (although sometimes challenging) season! π₯°

Linda, I recommend walking, marching, or running in place inside, or if you have space, walk a circuit indoors. I found out how long it takes me to walk a half mile. I timed myself more than once, then added 2 minutes to the time because it’s indoors. That way I’m fairly certain how “far” I’m walking. When in doubt, I add time or keep going after the timer goes off. That way I can still walk when the weather isn’t great, or I can’t get out. It reminds me to get up from the computer and get some exercise. It has been a wonderful addition to my walking routine!

Yβall are doing great!!!
Rachel @Spring100
YES!ππ»

I am right on target. Travels are in the works for us, so it will be a challenge to keep up. Maybe I will log miles in airports. π
Rachel @Spring100
Oh! I have gotten many good miles in during layovers at the airport. Enjoy your travels!!!π₯³

Twelve more miles will complete my 100-mile challenge, but I plan on continuing by God’s grace because I’ve noticed an increase in strength! I’m so encouraged! I split my walk into 10-minute chunks throughout the day, sometimes putting two or even 3 segments together. I’ve started occasionally adding 5 lb. dumb bells to one segment for a great upper body workout. I’m in my early 70’s, so it’s been nice to see some muscle replacing the “other stuff”. π Love all the pics! The smiling faces and pretty places are so fun! Way to go on the 50-mile run, Gabriel!
Rachel @Spring100
Wow, PRAISE THE LORD! Love hearing this!!ππΌ
Beth
I am ahead of schedule, only 2 more miles to go to 100! π My goal was to get most of my miles done before some later spring events, and also before the summer weather hit. I plan to continue walking until the end of the challenge, just to see how many miles I can log!
Great job to everybody still walking! And thanks for the encouraging meditation, Rachel! π€
Rachel @Spring100
ππ»π― WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!
Anna Myer
I have 4 miles to make it to 100, and then I plan on continuing walking until the end of the challenge! I hope to make it to 200 this year, so we’ll see! π

Rachel @Spring100
Love your 200 mile goal!! Way to go, Anna!!ππ₯³
Hannah Durham
I am at 35.9 miles! This is my first year doing the Spring 100. It has been a little challenge but it has been fun! I really would love to be able to get to 100 in time. I know that I can and I plan on finishing just like I should in my spiritual race, finishing well! Thank you for setting this up Rachel! God bless – Hannah D. π
Rachel @Spring100
I am so glad you joined the challenge, Hannah!! ππΌ
Anna B.
I am at 35.5 miles. It’s hard to keep up with our busy schedule of singing with our ensemble, but I hope to catch up and make it to the goal!
