Finishing out week 6 of our 14-week Spring100 Challenge!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!! ππ»π― As we near the halfway mark of this challenge, let’s keep the energy going along with encouraging other spring100ers onward to the 100 Mile Finish Line. π NOW is the time to log your miles!! We will be logging miles walked from April 18th to April 24th! Calculate those miles and fill out the form below. As always, email me with any questions! Info@spring100Challenge.com
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
2 Corinthians 12:9-10
As I enjoyed my Spring100 walks this week, I was thinking about our Spring100 Theme verse and the “great a cloud of witnesses” that have gone before us. Men and women “who through faith conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight.” Hebrews 11:33-34. I don’t know about you but the testimonies of our brothers and sisters in Christ who have finished the race set before them always encourage me onward and upward! They did not run well and finish in their own strength but were made strong in weakness as they depended on the Lord’s grace every step of the way. If you are ready to give up on the Spring100 or finding you are weary in this race of life, don’t quit!! Remember 2 Corinthians 12:9 and the promise of grace sufficient for every single day as it says “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” As we enter this new week of walking and spiritually running with endurance, let’s recall the great cloud of witness and the grace of God which enabled each one of them to finish the race well! Ready to conquer week 7… LET’S GO!!!!! ππ»π―ππΌββοΈππ½ββοΈ
QUESTION: I know this has been asked in previous years but with so many new Spring100ers I have to ask again… As we consider the Men and Women of faith and that great cloud of witnesses, whose testimony throughout history has blessed and encouraged you in seasons of weariness? I’d love to hear in the comment box below!!ππΌππΌ

Some of my favorite heroes are Corrie Ten Boom, Irena Sendler, Darlene Deibler, Stanely Dale and so many others!

Hi, everyone! I am really encouraged by Edith Cavell. I was able to read a book on her, and I talked about her in my Literature. She was a nurse for the wounded soldiers during World War 1. There was a quote that I especially liked that was mentioned in my literature book. The quote was saying that she was such an encouragement in her living days, but even more people were encouraged by her death. She was certainly a servant for Christ! I am very inspired and encouraged by her. π If you guys ever get the chance to look more into her story, you should definitely do so. I hope ya’ll will have an amazing day!
Ali Kirsch
Hi friends! I have been incredibly blessed by Jim Elliot, William Wilberforce, David Wilkerson, and Katie Davis Majors! I hope you all are enjoying this as much as I am! <3

My favorite faith hero is German theologian Dietrich Bonhoeffer, who was willing to pay the ultimate price to be a faithful disciple of Jesus, even his own life. Another is 19th century
Messianic Rabbi Isaac Lichtenstein, who was faithful to God, Jesus, and Jewish people.
Caroline Flournoy
Yes! I agree.π I love Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s story and testimony… It really is incredible.π He sacrificed so much as a follower of Jesus and was faithful even to the very end, even after all that happened to him. I’ve read a lot of books about him and his story is really challenging and we could all learn from him.π He is definitely one of my top favorite heroes of the faith!

Hello Spring100ers! One of my favourite heroes in the past is C.S. Lewis. I have read and listened a lot about his life, and read his series of books The Chronicles of Narnia. He was a faithful man. During World War Two, men and women needed to hear why they need a Saviour and why He died for their sins. C. S. Lewis accomplished this through many lectures, radio broadcasts and books.π He loved Jesus with all his heart and showed it through all of his actions. He was a wonderful Christian author writing many books on how we should fight against sin. I especially love The Chronicles of Narnia. I encourage you to learn more about his life and read the books I just mentioned. I hope you guys have a great rest of the week with hopefully warmer weatherπ.
Hannah Stiff
Hi everyone! The pictures this week were wonderful, especially all the landscapes. One of my favourite Christian heroes is William Tyndale. He courageously wrote the first English translation of the Hebrew and Greek texts of the Bible despite hostilities from Cardinal Wolsey, Thomas More and the Catholic Church as a whole. Eventually he was betrayed into the hands of his enemies by a false friend. Even while William Tyndale was tied to a stake and about to be strangled and burned to death, he asked God to open the king of England’s eyes. His prayer was answered, and 4 years later, four translations of the Bible had been printed with permission from Henry the 8th, all of them based off Tyndale’s work. He truly shines out as an example of bravery and sacrifice, and inspires me to stand firm for our faith!
Amy Cahill
The Lord gave me the word “surrounded” this year as a reminder that I am not alone in my walk with Him. I took that idea and have been surrounding myself with Christians of the past through their writings. Elisabeth Elliot and Corrie ten Boom so far. Planning to read some of Hudson Taylor and then we’ll see from there. I’m enjoying the book “Before the Hiding Place” by Corrie ten Boom that tells about her ‘ordinary’ life and how years of walking with the Lord in small things prepared her to be faithful in her bigger trail of the concentration camp.
Caroline Flournoy
A few people from the past that have encouraged me are Corrie Ten Boom,Dietrich Bonhoeffer,Jacob Deshazer, and Louis Zamperini.πAll their stories are so amazing and encouraging.π Great pictures everyone!!π There were a lot this week with a lot of variety too.π (And McNeelys…if you’re reading this, I’m so excited y’all are doing this too!ππ). Keep up the great work everyone!ππ
I will also walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people.Leviticus 26:12 πΈ
Elsie Sennes
I have been encouraged and inspired by Corrie Ten Boom’s story. I have read the Hiding Place several times, and I enjoy it again and again. It’s such a powerful book.

I love love love the story of Darlene Diebler Rose. π Evidence Not Seen is a book I highly recommend.. I read it a few months ago. Rn I’m reading A Chance to Die about Amy Carmicheal by Elizabeth Elliot (who is also a great author and good example. I want to read These Strange Ashes next..). Amy Carmichael’s drive to serve the Lord and give Him her all is very inspiring. π Darlene’s strong faith in the middle of so much pain that I can hardly imagine it is also an amazing example. And after she was released she went right back to continue serving the Lord with everything she had left. All of these women are good examples and I look forward to reading more biographies like these. π
Keilah
I love the stories of Corrie Ten Boom, Gladys Alward, Amy Charmichael, Perpetua, Elizabeth Elliot, and many others π
Brooke
I love the stories of Amy Carmicheal, Elizabeth Elliot and Darlene Deibler Rose! π I highly recommend reading their biographies but especially Darlene’s!! There’s so much to learn from all three of them. Darlene’s strong faith in the middle of so much pain is so inspiring and convicting.. then after she was free and the war was over, she went right back and continued to pour her her life into service to God. Amy had extreme tunnel vision for the Lord and gave herself completely to His service. Both women are good examples π I actually haven’t read These Strange Ashes yet but it’s next on my list. She was a great author with a lot of wisdom to share. π
